In my preschool, pre-k, and TK classroom, I incorporate Montessori teaching methods to foster independence, hands-on learning, and respect for each child’s unique developmental pace. I provide a carefully prepared environment with materials that encourage exploration and self-directed activity, allowing children to choose tasks that align with their interests and skill levels. I observe each child’s progress, guiding them gently rather than directly instructing, so they develop confidence in their own abilities. By encouraging curiosity, concentration, and responsibility, I help the children build a foundation for lifelong learning. Through this approach, I strive to nurture not only academic growth but also social and emotional development.
