Marisa and Ciara on the cover of Flourishing Families.
How cool is that.
We are so proud of you both.
This is one of those moments that means a little extra because it is not just a picture. It is recognition. It is representation. It is a reminder of how special the families in this community really are.
One of my favorite parts of this work is getting to celebrate the people already in our program and the wins that matter so much to their families.
Marisa and Ciara, this is awesome. We are cheering big for you both and we love getting to celebrate this with your family. 💙❤️

Happy 9th Birthday to my boy Jameson.
Nine years ago today was one of the happiest days of our life.💙❤️
You’re pure curiosity, you’ll try anything, and you compete like it’s Game 7 whether it’s hockey or Monopoly. But what I love most is your heart. Tough competitor, gentle soul.
And the swagger is undefeated. Love you big, buddy. 🖤🎂👑

Coaching is so much more than making someone faster or stronger. It’s about growth—becoming a better human who can dominate on and off the field.
Sophia (and her sister Gaby) are perfect examples of this. Amazing athletes, but even better humans.
Sophia, a tough-as-nails multi-sport athlete with a heart of gold, is now headed off to college to continue her rugby career. 🏉🔥
I’ll miss having you around, but I know you’ll be more than okay. Thank you for letting me play a small part in your journey—it’s been an honor to coach you.
This is what it’s all about. Building humans first, athletes second. 💪✨

Playing vs. Practicing 🏈🏒⚽️
As a dad, nothing fires me up more than spending time with my kids while helping them grow—body, mind, and spirit.
👉 Practice = reps, drills, and skill-building. Route running, dribbling, passing, shooting… repetition turns good into great.
👉 Play = creativity, problem-solving, instincts. Pick-up games, free play, messing around… competition grows naturally.
The truth? Athletes need both. Too much practice = robotic. Too much play = sloppy. The sweet spot is balance. That’s where athletes become complete, confident, and adaptable.
Dad hat on. Coach hat on. Both stay on. 🧢🔥

Behind the Scenes
I want to take a moment to appreciate WR ,Domenic, for an incredible summer dedicated to training as he prepares for his junior year at Puget Sound University.
It's often tempting to dismiss an athlete's achievements by claiming, "Oh, he's just naturally talented or he boasts excellent genetics." However, my experience with Domenic, dating back to his freshman year in high school, proves otherwise.
He is undoubtedly one of the most committed athletes and individuals I have had the pleasure of working with. Domenic continues to excel because he consistently goes the extra mile in his efforts. I am confident that he will enjoy a successful season, a fulfilling career, and a rewarding life ahead.
Thank you, Domenic, for allowing me to be a small part of your journey and for inspiring the younger generation by sharing your experiences.
