2026-2027 contract negotiations continue tomorrow!

Please join us at tonight’s MVUSD Board of Education meeting!
Agenda items include:
-the approval of a 3-year contract extension including a 2% annual step/column salary increase for the superintendent as well as a $5000 annual stipend paid to a TSA,
-approval of the 2026-2027 LCAP,
-adoption of the 2026-2027 district budget,
-and adoption of a resolution to commit reserve balance funds to the general fund balance

The truth is, most teachers still love teaching.

They love the moments when it clicks.
When a student finally understands.
When confidence grows.

But those moments are getting buried under everything else.

And that’s why people are walking away.

Not from teaching…
But from the system around it.

Because you can’t keep asking more, giving less, and expect people to stay.

If we truly want great teachers in our classrooms, we need to build a system where they can actually thrive… not just endure.
