Our all-star Alta Murrieta cafeteria team whipped up homemade French toast casserole today, topped with delicious blueberry 🫐 sauce. The kitchen smelled like cinnamon sugar, and the taste testers were excited to dig in. Some preferred it plain, while others made sure every bite was covered in blueberry goodness! What a sweet day! 🤗

Today our Cole Canyon cafeteria crew tried out something new: enchilada casserole! Many students and staff commented on how great it smelled right when they walked in for lunch, and our taste testers gave it thumbs ups all around 👍👍👍

Today one of our 3rd grade classes became official grilled cheese taste testers! 🧀 Students sampled two site-made sandwiches and casted their votes: 16 votes for #1 and 8 votes for #2 🗳️
The reveal:
#1 = Cheddar cheese
#2 = American cheese
Cheddar took the 👑 for its bold flavor, and they weren’t as big a fan of the creamier American cheese

A few of our Nutrition Services team members joined others from the SoCal region on a local farm to "cross-pollinate" ideas for future initiatives - a refreshing day of hands-on inspiration in an outdoor classroom! 🥬

Chef Takeover Day today in the Vista Murrieta kitchen! 💯
Brigaid Chef Aaron 👨🍳 worked with our Nutrition Services team to scratch-cook a feast for our Broncos - BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and slow-roasted carrots. 🥕
Students were lined up at the door to try it and to spot Chef Aaron in his signature bright green t-shirt. Thank you to all for your hard work & for bringing so much excitement to our school lunch! 🙌

Last Thursday Brigaid Chef Aaron 👨🍳 teamed up with our Thompson Middle School kitchen crew to serve up an amazing scratch-made lunch!
Students enjoyed 🍗 BBQ chicken drumsticks, cornbread, and roasted sweet potatoes - even the BBQ sauce was made on site.
Total lunchtime victory: BBQ-sauced thumbs-ups and trays cleared in record time 🏅

Today our Alta Murrieta students got to try a brand new scratch-made mac & cheese recipe served with garlic broccoli - and it earned thumbs ups all around! 🧀 🥦 👍
Chef Aaron 👨🍳 from Brigaid took over the kitchen for the day, working side-by-side with our nutrition team to train, support, and serve this delicious meal to our students.
