RivCo appears to be using the Genasys app for notifications and per this page "also" wants you to sign up for Alert RivCo. We recommend everyone make sure they have the Genasys app on their cellphones and "every setting" is setup for your personal needs, especially Alerts. With the "error evacuation" message there have been reports of residents not receiving any notifications, some received emails from Genasys, and some received a text from Alert RivCo. Be safe by setting up notifications today for BOTH the Genasys and Alert RivCo and know your RVC # # # # as indicated within the Alert RivCo page and the Genasys App.

🚩 TAKE ACTION BEFORE A RED FLAG WARNING 🚩
Critical fire weather conditions are expected from 11 a.m. Wednesday through 5 p.m. Thursday across portions of the Sacramento Valley. Strong winds, low humidity, and dry fuels can cause fires to spread rapidly.
Before the wind arrives, do an Ember Check:
✔️ Close windows, garage doors, and pet doors
✔️ Clear leaves and debris from roofs and gutters
✔️ Move flammable items off your patio and at least 5' away from your home
Close It. Clear It. Move It.
Now is the time to prepare, stay alert, and have an evacuation plan ready.

Make sure your Watch Duty is the latest version so you do NOT miss an ALERT!
What if your phone was on silent during an urgent fire evacuation notice?
We're introducing Critical Alerts on iOS. For select rare and urgent situations, these alerts can bypass Do Not Disturb mode with an emergency sound, ensuring you receive life saving notifications when they matter most. The next time you open Watch Duty on an iOS device, you'll get the option to enable critical alerts. It's a great time to make sure:
1️⃣ You have the latest version of the Watch Duty app
2️⃣ You've selected the counties that are important to you under ‘notifications’
3️⃣ You've enabled notifications and critical alerts
Stay safe!
