Today our Students visited the Horry County Landfill and Recycling Center! ♻️🚛

Students got an up-close look at the journey trash takes after it leaves our homes, and about the importance of reducing waste.

A huge thank you to Veronica and to the staff who took the time to guide and teach our students—it was an eye-opening experience for all!

Our classroom has been buzzing with creativity lately! As part of our journey into Greek mythology, students have been diving into Percy Jackson and exploring the fascinating world of gods, heroes, and epic adventures. ⚡📚

To bring the stories to life, students took on an exciting art project—designing and creating their own Greek shields! Each shield reflects their understanding of mythology, featuring powerful symbols, bold patterns, and unique personal touches inspired by the characters and legends we’ve been reading about. 🛡️🎨

It’s been amazing to see their imagination and knowledge come together in such a hands-on way. We’re so proud of their hard work and creativity!

Today’s field trip to Hobcaw Barony was a perfect blend of learning and adventure! Home to the North Inlet–Winyah Bay NERR, this nationally recognized marsh gave students a chance to experience science in action. Watching them connect with nature and ask big questions was the best part. 🦀
