Nonprofit Connections was first launched in the Fall of 2011 as a collaborative partnership between the Nonprofit Leadership Studies (NLS) program and the MSU Office of Regional Outreach. Dr. Bob Long, Visiting Distinguished Professor for the NLS program, had suggested we host the event in order for students to have the opportunity to engage in face-to-face conversations with the broad range of local nonprofit partners in the area, all in one convenient setting. The event continues to grow each year, and provides all MSU students with an incredible venue in which to explore the vast options to connect with organizations working hard to meet community needs and address pressing issues. Our event motto is "Volunteer. Serve. Make a difference!"
