Congrats to Murray State Trombone Studio alum Daniel Cupp on joining the Navy Band Southeast!

Please help us welcome trombone instrumentalist Musician Third Class Daniel Cupp!

He joins us after completing the Basic Music course at the Naval School of Music. Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, MU3 Cupp holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Murray State University and a Masters in Trombone Performance from the University of Kentucky.

He is looking forward to performing with his colleagues all around the Southeastern United States and sharing a wide range of music with audiences!

We're headed to Louisville in February! Come hear the Murray State Trombone Choir at the 2026 KMEA on Friday, February 6th!

The Murray State Trombone Studio is well represented at this year’s International Trombone Festival in London, Ontario! Recent graduate Jared Chance-Martin (BM ‘25) played beautifully in the final round of the Edward Kleinhammer Orchestral Bass Trombone Competition this morning, and recent graduate Dillon Smith (BM ‘25) and studio member Brady Johnson were in the audience cheering him on.

The MSU Trombone Studio was well represented at tonight’s Paducah Symphony concert - Dr. Sharpe on bass trombone, plus studio member Payne DeHaven and Trombone Choir member Brennon Gibson in the chorus for Carmina Burana. Bravo, everyone!

was represented beautifully tonight at the Paducah Symphony's performance of "Carmina Burana" at the Carson Center. The Concert Choir, faculty members, and alumni all performed on stage together with the symphony for the season finale. Go Racers!
