Chilling with my besties at SPARK. So thankful for these students and their hard work! Eva Bogue and Anna Claire Griggs planned our booth, and with the help of the ag ed students shared the love of ag with 500 8th graders.

Congratulations to our brand new rockstars on their bachelor’s degrees as well as to two of our more “seasoned” rockstars on their Specialist in Education degrees!

Mr. McCallister “Mac” Killian, Caldwell County High School, with Ms. Magen Woods

Mr. Killian accepted a position with Indian Creek Middle School in Trafalgar, Indiana.

Ms. Josey Tolley, Webster County High School, with Ms. Christina Ramage.

Ms. Tolley has accepted a position with the USDA as a program technician.

Mr. Brendon Schettler, Murray Independent High School, with Ms. Brittany Forgey.

Mr. Schettler is actively seeking an agricultural teaching position in Kentucky, Illinois or Tennessee.

Ms. Madison Crider, McCracken County High School, with Mr. Robert Polivick.

Ms. Crider is currently seeking an agricultural teaching position in Kentucky.

Ms. Myranda Kemp, Muhlenberg County High School, with Mr. Jay McElwain.

Ms. Kemp is seeking an agricultural teaching position in Kentucky.

Ms. Kaylen Couch, Marshall County High School, with Ms. Jourdan Palmeri.

Ms. Couch is currently seeking an agricultural teaching position in southern Kentucky or middle Tennessee.

Let’s highlight two more ways our rockstars were present at the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo!

Rebecca Grimsley, freshman, applied for and was accepted as a Convention Collegiate Assistant (CCA) where she spent long days and many hours serving the members in the Career Show and Expo, helping all members to see themselves in the FFA, while reenforcing her love for the blue and gold and her enthusiasm to become an agricultural teacher and FFA advisor!

Kaylen Couch, a Fall 2022 student teacher, had the unique experience of not only attending Convention with her Marshall County FFA members and cooperating teachers as their student teacher, but she stayed one extra day, donned her own blue corduroy one last time, and walked the stage to earn her American FFA Degree.

These two young women are phenomenal - congratulations, Racers! 💙💛

Our Racer rockstars have been busy this week assisting with two National FFA events: the Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event and the Agricultural Communication Career Development Event.

These 13 young professionals are not only improving their own professional development in preparation for their future careers, but they are representing themselves and the university spectacularly!
