Congratulations to the Murray State Jazz Lab, Blue Combo, Gold Combo, Jazz Band, & Jazz Orchestra on a wonderful concert last night! Very special congratulations are in order for Dr. Todd E. Hill on his retirement! Thank you for all you have done to build this outstanding program!

We were so fortunate to have a visit from Driftless Reeds today! They worked with both the Murray State Saxophone Studio and Clarinet Studio in separate masterclasses this afternoon followed by a breathtaking recital this evening. Thank you so much for sharing your artistry with us!

Special thank you to saxophonist Josh Baker and clarinetists Brian Jaap and Stephen Dubetz for your wonderful teaching in today's masterclasses. We all learned so much!

Congratulations to Tyrone Hopson who was just awarded 1st Place in the Murray Woman's Club Sophomore Music Scholarship Competition! We are so proud of you, Tyrone! 🎷

Numerous Murray State saxophonists will be performing at the 2026 North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Conference at Ohio State University under the direction of Dr. Lucas Hopkins. If you are attending NASA this year, come hear them on Friday, March 13 at 10:30am! Here are some photos from their final rehearsal here in Murray before hitting the road. 🎷
