A new tradition was introduced last night at Ty Holland stadium! Brad Barnett, a member of the 1974 state championship football team, was honored with this wonderful statue. Brad was diagnosed with ALS in 2010 and has faced adversity with the grace and bravery of a true champion. He is a true example of what Tiger Pride should be. When first diagnosed he told his friends he has "No Regrets," which is the name of the artwork. From now on, as the players approach the field, they touch the helmet to remind them to leave it all on the field, play with heart and courage, and live life with no regrets. The Barnett family has been an inspiration to the community, and I hope this gesture returns some of the love they have shared with us. Go Tigers!
