Last week, the Department of Organizational Communication and Leadership was the host for the 95th Annual Kentucky Communication Association Conference. The conference is a perfect outlet for the promotion and development of excellence in classroom teaching; provides an opportunity to distribute quality research and creative endeavors; and celebrates the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication.

Chris Wooldridge was named the Hutson, Inc. Friend of Agriculture award winner at the 2026 Hutson College of Agriculture’s Breakfast on the Farm. Wooldridge serves as an instructor in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business in the areas of finance, banking and economic development. He also serves as the director of the Center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Development.

The nominator added, “Chris is a person who works tirelessly to help business development in our field as well as many other industries. He played an instrumental role in bringing agricultural businesses to Calloway County, including Hempwood, and also helped create a masters degree program that connects Agriculture with Economic Development.”

Congratulations, Chris, on this wonderful achievement!
