The eagle mobile takes her maiden voyage tomorrow. Volunteers and student behavior specialists will be taking these carts around to each classroom. Students will get to redeem their PBIS points (rewarded for positive behavior) at the mobile store.

Thanks to our PTA fundraiser, we’ve loaded it with backpacks, notebooks, books, fancy school supplies, water bottles, keychains, small toys, and a few treats.

We’re still looking for a few volunteers to sign up for 30 min increments to be the cashier for a grade of their choosing. Link to sign up is in stories.

Big thank you to Teri Thompson for decorating the carts, Miss Katt for handling logistics, Kelsey Moffitt for volunteer coordination. And Lindsay Wood, Heather Clark, and Jen Jorgensen for their organization of the cart. We also received some donations from Murray Education Foundation to fill our store.

Tomorrow is our Viewmont Cafe Rio day!
If you go to the Taylorsville location anytime tomorrow, they’ll give 20% of the sale to our school.

Ordering needs to be done in person (show them the voucher BEFORE you pay) or using the QR code with their web based online ordering system. It can not be done on the app, kiosk, or phone orders. Hope to see you there!

🦅 We’re making some exciting changes to the Eagle Store this year!
The store will operate less frequently, giving students time to save their points for more exciting rewards. Students may also have opportunities to combine points as a class and earn a shared experience, creating memories and celebrating their positive choices together.
We’re also making the store mobile! Separate Eagle Carts for lower and upper grades will travel from classroom to classroom, making the program easier to manage while allowing us to offer more age-appropriate rewards.
The Eagle Store is part of Viewmont’s PBIS program—Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS is an evidence-based framework that helps schools proactively teach behavioral expectations, recognize students when they demonstrate them, and support positive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes.
The purpose of the Eagle Store isn’t simply to give students prizes. It is one way we can acknowledge and reinforce the positive behaviors and schoolwide expectations students are learning and practicing each day.
With that purpose in mind, we want your input: What rewards would your student actually be excited to earn, and what items would you feel good about your child bringing home?
We want to prioritize items that are fun, useful, enriching, or encourage creativity, learning, movement, and meaningful play. Please share specific items, themes, experiences, or categories in the comments! 👇🏻
If helping choose items or shop for the carts sounds fun, mention that too. We’d love to have you involved!

The clouds parted for a few hours and we had a fabulous super hero themed fun run! All our students were fitted with a super hero mask and did an obstacle course on our fancy new walking path.

Thank you so, so much for the support y’all give our school. We are thrilled by the results of the fundraiser and are so excited to use the funds for our community this year.

Tomorrow is the Fun Run!! Last year we did a color run for the students; this year will be a superhero obstacle course!

Dress up like a superhero tomorrow to show your support for Viewmont! Each grade will get their own time to tackle the course, which has been thoughtfully designed and set up by the PTA and super parent volunteers!
