Our first PTA meeting of the year will be on August 24 at 2 pm. We will hold our meetings in the library. Small children are welcome to attend but we don’t have childcare and it’s not a totally toddler proof space, so just keep that in mind.

Principal Smith is always in attendance and our teacher representative, Ms. McDonald from 3rd grade. We discuss upcoming events, school updates, and any changes coming down from the district or legislature that could have an effect on our Viewmont community.

All meetings will begin at 2 pm and end promptly at 3 pm so you can be where you need to be at the end of the school day. We’ll also have a Google Meet link if you’d like to listen in: https://meet.google.com/eam-cyjo-vyt

Meet your Viewmont PTA Board this year! Our school is so lucky to have many volunteers that are willing to help with events and projects that celebrate our community.

If you have a concern, want to see something implemented at the school, have a question about district policies, want to get to know other Viewmont parents- PTA is for you!

We are so excited to get this school year started! We will be hosting a Back to School Night on Thursday, August 13th from 4:30-6:30pm. 

Your teachers will be conducting sessions on how to have a STRONG school year. Students and their parents should attend one of the sessions for each teacher/grade level. ​

The library and gym will be filled with additional stations of information on how to have a great year. These include PTA, Reading and Math Supports, and Specials!

We’ve totaled up the volunteer sign-in sheets from the year and we have an amazing number to share: Volunteers at our school spent 2,605 hours helping out!

This is only a record of hours AT the school for events, reading, copies, art literacy and PTA help. But it doesn’t include any of the hours spent at home, in board meetings, or on field trips. Pretty incredible! Thank you for everyone who helped out this year. It takes a village!

We can’t let the year end without a MASSIVE thank you for our fabulous PTA president, Taryn McDonough!

We’ve been totaling up the hours year round of volunteers in our school and Taryn is consistently on the leader board! She has put in hours and hours of her personal time to make our school and community a little bit brighter. She has recruited many new faces to PTA and led us fearlessly through art projects, movie nights, fundraising, teacher appreciation, eagle store and experiences, parties, and so many good vibes! And she’s taken over 1,000 photos- so we really know she LOVES this school!

Thank you Austin, and the entire McDonough family for sharing Taryn with us as PTA president the past two years! We so appreciate your service to our school.
