The Murray High Speech Team is having a meeting for students interested in competing in the 2026-27 season. The meeting will take place on Monday, August 17 at 3:15pm in room 209.

Congrats to Murray High Speech Team members Faith McCafferty and Olivia McLaughlin on their performances at the NCFL Grand National Tournament in Washington, DC over Memorial Day weekend. So proud of our students and how well they continue to “emulate the best”! While in DC, students were able to take in many popular sites including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, National Archives, the Smithsonian, and Arlington National Cemetery. And also on the way, we were able to have a brief visit with Mr. Etherton! 😇

MURRAY HIGH SPEECH TEAM - ROAD TO NATIONALS

Help our students get to two national tournaments this summer: NCFL Nationals in Washington, DC and NSDA Nationals in Richmond, VA.

🥅 ⚽️ GOAL
The overall cost for hotels, transportation, parking, registration, etc. is $10,000. 🤯 Our students have worked to have this opportunity and we want to help get them to nationals!

MATCHING GRANT - DONATE ONLINE NOW!
If you would like to help support our kiddos as we are getting on the road to go to TWO national tournaments, please consider donating online using the same system our school district goes through to sell tickets to sporting events. MATCHING GRANT UPDATE - $3100 remaining!

The Murray High Speech Team has received an incredible opportunity—a $5,000 matching grant to help send our students to compete this summer in Washington, DC (NCFL Nationals) and Richmond, Virginia (NSDA Nationals).
This means that every dollar contributed toward our team will be doubled, allowing us to maximize support for our students as they represent our school and community on the national stage.
Our students have worked tirelessly to earn these opportunities, and we are so proud of their dedication, talent, and commitment. This matching grant gives us a unique chance to come together as a community and make a lasting impact on their experience so they may continue to “emulate the best” at nationals.
We’re excited to see what we can accomplish together and are incredibly grateful for the continued support that makes opportunities like this possible!
