Huge thanks to the Ron McBride Foundation for their incredible, continued support of Murray’s after-school programs at Parkside Elementary, Horizon Elementary, and Hillcrest Jr. High! 🌟

Because of their generosity, each school received $15,000 this year to keep these critical programs thriving for our kids.
As Coach put it best: "Because of what a teacher did for me growing up and for my players over the years is the reason why we do what we do."

Huge thanks to Boeing for inviting us out to their Family Day in West Jordan today! ✈️🤖

Murray City School District and the Murray Education Foundation were proud to set up shop and show Boeing employees how their incredible support makes a direct impact in our schools. Over the last two years, Boeing has awarded over $100,000 in grants to Murray, helping fuel high-impact STEM experiences for our students.

A special shoutout to MHS Robotics Program Advisor Conner Winder and MEF Board Member Susan Edmonds for representing us today! Conner started the Murray High robotics program from scratch, building it into one of the most popular, influential, and hands-on opportunities for our students. Today, he got to showcase the amazing work our kids are doing thanks to Boeing’s generosity.

We had a blast touring the facility, connecting with the community, and celebrating alongside the Boeing family!

Brace Yourselves for the Tooth, the Whole Tooth, and Nothing but the Tooth: Murray Smiles is Here! 🦷

We are thrilled to officially launch Murray Smiles, an innovative mobile dental hygiene program that brings state-of-the-art care directly to our schools!

Dental pain is one reason some kids miss school, but Murray Smiles aims to eliminate those barriers. This unique program places a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in our district, operating a mobile unit to provide clinical preventive care and interactive education.

This program ensures universal access for all Murray students. Regardless of insurance or financial status, every student can receive:
- Professional Cleanings
- Digital X-Rays
- Fluoride Treatments
- Dental Sealants

By catching oral health issues early and teaching lifelong habits, we’re keeping kids healthy, in the classroom, and ready to succeed. It’s also incredibly convenient for parents—students get the care they need without taking time off or leaving school for hours!

A major thank you to our visionary partners and grant funders, including the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, ADHA, and the Murray Education Foundation, with support from the Utah Dental Hygienists' Association, American Dental Hygienists' Association, Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Dental Hygiene program and Utah College of Dental Hygiene program.

Welcoming Briana Gomez to McMillan Elementary!

Let’s give a huge Mighty Mite welcome to Briana Gomez, our wonderful new School-Based Social Worker at McMillan Elementary! 🏫✨

Briana brings nearly four years of dedicated experience supporting students' emotional well-being, and we are so grateful to have her expertise right here in Murray!

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s in Social Work from Weber State University & Master’s in Social Work from Boise State University! 🐎🐴
🍎 Experience: Briana previously worked at Spectrum Academy, where she provided specialized emotional and mental health support for students on the autism spectrum.
💡 Inspiration: She loves working with kids and recognized that school is often the primary place where students can access mental health care. She is passionate about being that safe, reliable support system right inside the building! ❤️

🌅 Fun Facts: In her spare time, Briana loves spending time outdoors with her family, catching a beautiful sunset, or getting creative with crafting!

We are so excited to have Briana's compassionate heart supporting our McMillan students and families this year!

Heading to your child's school soon? Here's what you need to know about new visitor safety policies:

🔒 One Entrance: All visitors must enter through the locked main entrance.
🪪 Mandatory ID: Physical government-issued ID or the Utah Mobile ID app required every time (photos of IDs aren't accepted).
🏷️ Visitor Badges: Must be worn at all times and turned in before leaving.
