A huge, heartfelt thank you to the team at Security National for stepping up with a generous school supply donation to Murray Education Foundation and Murray School District!

Nationwide, teachers spend an average of over $800 out of their own pockets each year to ensure their students have essential learning tools. Thanks to the incredible corporate team at Security National (and others this year), our local students in need now have the notebooks, pencils, and supplies they need to thrive—while helping lift that financial burden off our dedicated educators! 📚💙

Clear vision opens doors to learning! 👓✨ Did you know that up to 80% of classroom learning happens visually? When a student struggles to focus or keep up with reading, the fix is sometimes as simple as a pair of glasses!

To ensure clear vision is never a barrier to academic success, our MCSD school nurses are teaming up with Friends for Sight for our annual SightFest event on Thursday, November 19! SightFest provides free comprehensive eye exams and brand-new prescription glasses to qualifying students without insurance coverage or financial resources for vision care.

Creativity and nature taking flight! 🎨🦆 This afternoon, Ms. Costello’s 4th-grade class from Longview Elementary enjoyed a wonderfully inspiring trip to the Nature Center!

Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the outdoors, our young artists focused their eyes and talents on capturing Utah's native birds in their natural habitats using watercolor paints. 🖌️✨ From vibrant feather details to lush green backdrop washes, their artwork truly brought our local ecosystem to life!

We love seeing our students step outside the traditional classroom to blend art, science, and nature in such a hands-on, memorable way. 🍃💙

Thanks to their ongoing support, ALL 5th-grade students across Murray City School District will have the incredible opportunity to participate in Junior Achievement’s BizTown this year! 🏢💼

BizTown gives our 5th graders an immersive, hands-on experience running a simulated city for a day. From stepping into the shoes of CEOs and bank tellers to managing budgets and working as media professionals, our students gain invaluable lessons in financial literacy, teamwork, and career readiness that stick with them long after elementary school.

We are so deeply grateful for community partners like Goldenwest Credit Union who invest in our students' futures and help make these life-changing learning experiences possible! 💙✨

Calling all festive performers, musicians, and talented stars! 🎤✨ Help our Murray community ring in the holiday season at the Angel Tree Kickoff on the evening of November 13th at Fashion Place Mall!

We are looking for local talent of all ages—kids, teens, adults, school groups, family acts, bell choirs, dancers, and musicians—to share anything "Christmasy" and spread holiday cheer! 🎄🎁

Joining in is easy: just record a quick 1–2 minute audition video showing us what you’d like to share (nothing fancy needed!). Performance spots are limited, so be sure to submit your video by October 25th!

Monday, students from Hillcrest Jr. High interested in pursuing careers in healthcare had an exciting opportunity to visit the Intermountain LDS Hospital Simulation Lab!

As part of the partnership between Intermountain Health, Murray City School District, and the new APEX Program at Murray High School, students got a hands-on look at what it’s like to work in the healthcare field. Our future healthcare professionals had an amazing time learning, exploring, and experiencing the possibilities that await them in this rewarding career pathway!

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this experience possible. A special thank-you to:
