Conestoga Early Education Center, located inside Conestoga Elementary School, is looking for full and part-time Childcare Providers. We are an Early Education Center focused on providing educational experiences and care for children 6 weeks to 13 years of age. We are looking for motivated, caring, flexible individuals who enjoy fostering the growth and development of children. Applicants will be required to pass all licensing required background checks. Conestoga Early Education Center is looking to hire a qualified daycare director to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for children. You will oversee the coordination of education programs that comply with local and federal regulations, ensure that facilities are maintained, manage and support a complement of daycare staff.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center or nursery school, as well as strong leadership skills. You should display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers.

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.

Requirements:

Associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related field or a Child Development Associate Credential is preferred. If no degree or credential a high school diploma and verifiable experienced in organized group activities birth to 13 is required.
Licensure is required.
Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Friendly and approachable demeanor.
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times

Our Conestoga Boys Soccer team competed at state today. Huge thank you to the staff and kiddos at Conestoga Early Education for your signs and support and to Sean Trampe for hooking us up so the kiddos and staff could cheer the boys on.

Conestoga has cancelled school for Wednesday in support of our boys soccer team qualifying for STATE! With that we understand that this may affect childcare needs. We will have limited availability for schoolagers all day and ask that you let us know your childcare needs asap. We also understand this may affect our other age groups and ask that if it affects your regularly scheduled needs you also let us know asap. I will be reworking scheduling late this afternoon. Good morning families. We are sad to report that JR’s restaurant here in Murray will be closing effective this Sunday, April 30th. They have been such a wonderful addition to our community and generous supporters/donors to our program for the last two years. If you won a gift card during our Week of the Young Child raffle (or just want to support a great business) we wanted to let you know so you can use your gift card and get a great meal before they have to close their doors. We thank JR’s owners and staff for their support and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

Per policy Conestoga Early Education Center will also be closed tomorrow since school has been canceled.

Due to the forecasted weather conditions, there will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, February 16. Parent teacher conferences will run as scheduled from 3-7. Stay safe and warm, Cougars!

This week our school age kiddos got to take a walking field trip to our very own local bakery Cake Creations Omaha. Ms. Tonya Brown and her amazing staff had a fun game (with yummy prizes) planned for us and delicious cupcakes baked for us to decorate with colorful frosting bags, sprinkles, and delicious fondant cutouts! Thank you Cake Creations Omaha for planning and preparing this “sweet” activity for us ❤️ 🧁
