🤝 DISTRICT MADE: TOGETHER, WE BUILD BRAVE COMMUNITIES.
Strong communities don't happen by accident—they’re District Made when students, parents, staff and local partners work together to promote kindness and stop bullying.
From PAL student leaders mentoring younger kids to counselors and parents modeling good character at home, we're celebrating the great partnerships across Plano ISD this week!

DYSLEXIA AWARENESS MONTH
🤝 HOW CAN WE SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH DYSLEXIA?
Students with dyslexia don't need lower expectations.
They need access to learning.
Here are some ways we can support students:
📖 Provide explicit, structured instruction
🔊 Allow students to hear information when appropriate
💻 Use assistive technology when appropriate
📝 Break larger tasks into manageable steps
💬 Give clear and specific directions
⏰ Provide appropriate additional time when needed
🔎 Check for understanding
🌟 Recognize progress and strengths—not just mistakes
Most importantly, remember:
Every student is different.
What works for one learner may not work for another.
💙 Support isn't about making learning easier.
It's about making learning accessible.
