🌧️ Rainy Day Fun: Indoor Activities to Keep the Energy Flowing!🌧️

We all know the struggle of rainy days: the gray skies, the persistent drizzle, and the kids bouncing off the walls because they can’t go outside! But fear not! There are kiddos this week had plenty of creative ways to keep themselves active and entertained indoors! 💪🎉

Recently, our Kindergarten Jumpstart and Pre-Kindergarten classes turned a dreary day into an adventure filled with laughter and movement! Here’s pictures of what they did. 🏃‍♂️ **Indoor Obstacle Course** 🏃‍♀️

Just using just a few household items, you can transformed your home into an exciting obstacle course!
- **Cushions and pillows** to create soft hurdles.
- **Chairs and blankets** for tunnels to crawl under.
- **Tape on the floor** to mark balance beams.
- **Buckets, Cups** for tossing balls into (great for hand-eye coordination!).

The kids raced through the course, climbing, jumping, and laughing all the way! It’s a fantastic way to develop motor skills while having a blast. Plus, it keeps them engaged and focused!

Our PreK class enjoyed 💪 **Tug of War** 💪
Not only is this game exciting, but it also teaches teamwork and cooperation.

**How to Play Tug of War Safely:**
1. **Find a sturdy rope** (or even a long scarf).
2. **Divide the kids into two teams** and have them stand on opposite sides.
3. **Mark a center line** on the floor to see which team can pull the other across!

This game encourages strength, strategy, and social skills. And let’s be honest, it’s just plain fun! 😉

🦉❄️ **The Magic of Snowy Owls!** ❄️ 🦉
Recently, our TOTS classes got creative crafting stunning **snowy owls** to showcase their understanding of these magnificent bird. The snowy owl, with its striking white feathers and piercing yellow eyes, is not just a symbol of winter; it’s a master of survival in the harshest climates.

Did you know what makes Snowy Owls So Special?
1. **Camouflage**: Their white feathers blend in perfectly with the snowy landscapes, helping them hunt for prey and avoid predators.
2. **Diet**: These incredible hunters primarily feast on small mammals, like lemmings. Did you know they can eat up to 1,600 lemmings in a single year? Talk about a healthy appetite!
3. **Adaptations**: Snowy owls have thick feathers that keep them warm, and their feet are covered in feathers to protect against the cold.

🐻❄️ Winter Animals and Hibernation Fun! ❄️🐻
As winter settles in we’ve been diving deep into the fascinating world of winter animals and hibernation with our students! Students have enjoyed listen to author of the month Karma Wilson books about Bear's adventures.🐾✨

Check out the PreK class flexing their creative muscles while honing their fine motor skills through some fun coloring activities. They brought to life adorable hibernating animals, each with its own unique charm! From sleepy bears to curious squirrels, it’s been a delightful experience watching them express their creativity. 🎨🖍️
