Thank you to all of these amazing students who were at school every day in the month of September. MMS knows that being present every day can be exhausting so we truly appreciate this determination.
Also, do not forget that starting October we are tracking each homeroom. The homerooms with all their students attending school on time ready to learn will be recorded in the commons area. At the end of each month, the homerooms with the most days will win a prize. Help your student by getting them to school each day on time. Thank you to all of our families for making Murphy Middle School the best!! 💛 🖤 🐾
*if you feel your student was left of the list, please contact Katie Rankin, school counselor by email or REMIND.

CCS Bus Ridership Week is September 21–25, 2026!

This coming week, we’re highlighting the important role our school buses play in getting Cherokee County students safely to and from school each day.

Each year, North Carolina school transportation funding is influenced in part by student bus ridership during Bus Ridership Week. That means every student who rides the bus helps demonstrate the transportation needs of our schools and community.

If your child normally rides the bus, we encourage them to ride as many days as possible during Bus Ridership Week! Strong ridership helps us maintain the resources needed to provide reliable transportation for our students and families throughout the school year.

Every rider counts. Every ride matters.

Thank you to our incredible bus drivers, Transportation Department, and families for helping keep our students moving safely each day!
