Parents,

It is imperative that you fill out this form if you plan for your child to ride the bus this coming school year!

Only use this form if the student plans on regularly riding the bus. Regular bus riders would ride at least 3 to 4 times per week, every week. If the student does not ride in the first week after he/she is assigned to a bus, he/she will be deassigned and will possibly lose their seat on a bus until....

We can’t begin to express our gratitude for our community who always goes above and beyond for our school. On Friday, we were fortunate to have a team of 16 members from Moog spend the day on the grounds of our school. They weeded the playgrounds by hand, laid two pallets of mulch, power washed the building, planted shrubs, and more! Our school looks amazing because of the Moog team!

We also want to thank Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church for always being a staple for our school. They always make sure our road sign is maintained and beautiful. This spring they spent time cleaning around the baseball field, they feed our teachers and staff and always ensure our students have what they need.

Peachtree Elementary is so lucky to have such supportive and compassionate community members!

Important upcoming dates for this school year!

📅 Planning Ahead for a Successful School Year!

Yesterday, our district leadership team came together to kick off the new school year with a shared focus on supporting student success. One important topic of discussion was the value of good student attendance and the role it plays in helping students stay engaged, connected, and on track for learning.

Last night, the Cherokee County Schools Board of Education also approved amendments to our Attendance Policy (Policy 4400), reinforcing our commitment to supporting strong attendance across all grade levels and schools.

As part of this effort, our district leadership team wanted to provide families with a helpful tool for planning ahead. We created a calendar highlighting scheduled days off, early dismissals, teacher workdays, holidays, and other opportunities that create longer breaks from school.

Our hope is that this calendar will help families plan vacations, appointments, and other activities around the school calendar whenever possible, allowing students to enjoy those opportunities without missing valuable instructional time.

We encourage families to take a look, plan ahead, and make every school day count! ❤️📚

Want to make a difference in a child’s life? Every school day, our bus drivers play a vital role in safely transporting students to and from school. For many children, their bus driver is the first smiling face they see each morning and the last caring adult they see before heading home.

Cherokee County Schools is now hiring both regular route and substitute bus drivers for all transportation precincts. We offer competitive starting pay and bonuses for perfect attendance!
