🎶 Every Note Counts. Every Student Matters.

The MTSU School of Music is proud to share the story behind Where Every Note Counts, our first comprehensive capital campaign dedicated to investing in the future of music education and performance.

As Director Dr. Jennifer Snodgrass shared on WKRN’s Local on 2 this morning (https://www.wkrn.com/video/mtsu-where-every-note-counts/12024553/) this campaign is about removing barriers and creating opportunities for every student. Gifts to Where Every Note Counts support scholarships, student success initiatives, innovative learning experiences, instrument and technology needs, and the continued excellence that defines the MTSU School of Music.

Music transforms lives. With the support of our alumni, friends, and community, we can ensure that every talented student has the opportunity to learn, perform, and thrive.

From MTSU to Italy! 🎭🎶

This summer, MTSU School of Music student Jordan Mathis is studying in Novafeltria, Italy, as part of the prestigious La Musica Lirica five-week summer intensive opera program.

During the program, Jordan will perform in the chorus for Puccini's La Rondine and take on the role of Ferrando in Mozart's Così fan tutte. This incredible opportunity allows talented young artists to refine their craft while collaborating with distinguished faculty and performers in an international setting.

We are proud to see you representing the MTSU School of Music on the world stage, and we look forward to following your summer in Italy.

The MTSU School of Music has launched the Where Every Note Counts Scholarship Campaign, an initiative dedicated to expanding scholarship support for students in the School of Music and the Band of Blue.

For many students, scholarships make the difference between simply dreaming about a musical future and having the opportunity to pursue it. These funds help students focus on their studies, participate fully in ensembles and performances, and grow as artists, educators, and leaders. The campaign supports more than 300 School of Music students and approximately 215 members of the Band of Blue. (MTSU News)

Whether through a one-time gift, recurring contribution, or the creation of a named scholarship, your support can help remove financial barriers and open new opportunities for the next generation of musicians. (MTSU News)
