Every Monday morning, a group of PCA moms gathers in the Rhetoric commons to pray.

They connect, catch up, and encourage each other and then they pray. They pray over your student and the things our kids are carrying that week. They pray for our teachers, our administration, our sports teams, and our families. They pray over the events we have coming up and for our school as a whole.

If you have been wondering where you fit in at PCA, we would love to have you. Come as you are, bring a friend, and your coffee, and join us any Monday. You do not have to be a regular or know anyone yet. You are welcome here, and we would love to pray with you and for you.

6th Grade STEM: Mission to the Moon!

Our 6th graders recently took on an exciting STEM challenge: Mission to the Moon!

Students became engineers as they designed and built their own catapults, with the goal of launching a “rocket” as far as possible toward the moon. Along the way, they learned that engineering often involves planning, testing, making adjustments, and trying again when things don’t work the first time.

But the mission didn’t stop there. Once they reached the moon, students designed and built movable rovers capable of traveling across the lunar surface to collect and transport “moon rocks.” This challenged them to think creatively about motion, stability, force, design, and problem-solving.

More than just a fun project, this challenge gave our students an opportunity to practice perseverance, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking. It was a wonderful reminder that God has given us the ability to wonder, create, solve problems, and explore the world around us.

We are so proud of the way our 6th graders embraced the challenge, learned from their mistakes, and kept engineering until they found solutions. What a fun mission!

To our PCA grandparents, thank you!

Recently, our halls had some very special visitors. A group of grandparents came to PCA to pray. They walked through the school, stopped at classroom desks and hallway lockers, and prayed for our students, our faculty, and our school.

We believe in the power of prayer and are so thankful for your heart for our community!

Come celebrate 30 years of God’s faithfulness and the astonishing work He continues to do through PCA!

What do your cheek cells look like up close?

In science class, our 8th grade students learned to use microscopes and got right to work. They swabbed their own cheeks, stained the cells, and made slides to study. They looked closely at plant cells to see how they differ from animal cells, and they even spotted some tiny critters in a sample of pond water.

We love watching our students discover how much there is to see when they look a little closer.

Our buses have never been so clean, thanks to our 1st Graders!

Every quarter, each grade in our Grammar School completes a service project. This time, our 1st Graders helped serve our school community by deep cleaning our buses. They washed windows, wiped down seats, and cleaned the floors, and they only accidentally beeped the horn once! Families, thank you for raising students who love to serve others. Thank you, 1st Grade, for serving your fellow students in this way.

Who wants to visit our town? Kindergartenville is open!

Our kindergarteners took on one of our favorite traditions again this year. Each student designed and built a tiny piece of our community, from churches to fire stations and even a little PCA. Every building shows the creativity and personality of the student who made it, so no two are alike.

Then they got to gather in the hall and explore their city together. It is a sweet reminder that every one of us has a part in building community, both at school and in our hometown.

Say hello to Coach Hurst, our newest coach on the sidelines for one special night!

Coach Hurst, one of our Grammar School students, spent game day with our high school football team. He hung out with the guys, shared their meal before the game, and went through warm ups right alongside them. Then he took the field and got to watch from the sidelines for the first quarter. He even got to help call the first play of the game. Great Job!

Coach for a Game was an auction item from our Spring Soiree. We hope you had a great day, Coach!
