A proud moment for our Information Systems & Analytics team! 🔨💙

On Friday, September 25, we celebrated the beginning of construction on the MTSU Cyber Range with a wall-breaking ceremony at the Miller Education Center.

This milestone reflects the hard work, collaboration, and dedication of our ISA team, whose efforts are creating meaningful opportunities for students and strengthening cybersecurity education within the MTSU Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) .

Our team’s efforts are helping bring to life a facility that will connect classroom learning with hands-on cybersecurity training. Created in partnership with IBM and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cloud Range, the Cyber Range will give students, businesses and government agencies an immersive environment to practice responding to real-world cyberattacks.

Scheduled to open in January 2027, the facility will serve as a regional resource for cybersecurity training and workforce development.

Thank you to our ISA team (Dr. Timothy Greer (Chair), Dr. Nita Brooks , Carlos Coronel , Dr. Cody Cunov , Matthew DeMaria, Ed.S. M.S., Dr. Michael Erskine , Dr. Stephanie Totty , Dr. Soham Sengupta ) for the work behind this milestone, and to President Sidney A. McPhee, Dean Joyce Thompson Heames and our university, industry and community partners for their support. We also appreciate Stacy Hapgood of IBM and Levi Bushman of Middle Tennessee Electric for joining us to celebrate.

We look forward to the opportunities our team’s work will create for students and the communities we serve.
