tion, evaluation and selection, judging, riding, horse health, event and facility management, and equine-assisted therapy. As part of Middle Tennessee State University's Agribusiness and Agriscience department, we offer a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a concentration in Horse Science, as well as a Master of Science in Horse Science, with concentrations in Equine Physiology, Equine Education, and Equine Industry Management.

Congratulations to MTSU Horse Barn Manager Jeremy Carlton for his stellar showing of two MTSU-bred Tennessee Walking Horses, and for his coaching of our students showing at the WHOA International Tennessee Walking Horse Horse Show. Jeremy is a master at conditioning and handling young horses In-Hand, and we now have the Champion Open Yearling C**t, Reserve Champion Open Yearling, and Reserve Champion Open Mare.
Two Tone Blue, aka "Uno," by Mr True Blue out of Seve's Lady Raider (Mindy) won Champion Open Yearling C**t In-Hand. Uno was also Reserve Champion Open Yearling In-Hand.
Seve's Final Round, aka "Uma," by Seve out of Justa Innocent Dare (Epiphany) was Reserve Champion Open Mare In-Hand (and she's only two years old). Huge thanks to Jeremy for hours of hard work and miles upon miles of walking in-hand to get these youngsters fit and ready to show!

It's WHOA International Horse Show time, and we have several show results to share! Congratulations to MTSU student Morgan Delaney and DMC-12 (aka "Ursula" by Marty McFly out of Royal Sonata (Odessa). Did you catch the Back to the Future DeLorean reference in her name?) With coaching from MTSU horse barn manager Jeremy Carlton, Morgan successfully showed Ursula in Yearling Amateur Handler (5th) and Yearling Novice Handler (3rd).

It's WHOA International Horse Show time, and we have several show results to share! First, Congratulations to MTSU student Lauren Mabry and It's Tee for Two, aka "Floyd Renee," by Seve out of Dare to Charm (Abby). With coaching from MTSU horse barn manager Jeremy Carlton, Lauren successfully showed Floyd in three large classes: Model Novice Horse & Handler (6th), Model Amateur (5th), and Open Mares In Hand (7th).

22 future Blue Raiders learned the team cheer, line-dancing after pattern-walking as a required prep for the showcase, and then showed off their skills in a ranch riding, equitation, and horsemanship showcase!

Participants got settled in by moving their horses into the barns, learned about the MTSU Horse Science program, and getting to know one another through a fun name game. We kicked things off with warm-up drills in the TN Miller Coliseum!
