🎬 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞!

Congratulations to Dylan Womack (’25) and her team, Andrea Guajardo Trevino, Lisa Wallace, Malik Bumphus, Jose Montoya, Leon Artemis, and K. Stephens, whose film 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 has been accepted into the Nashville Film Festival!

The team is also headed to the Melrose Film Festival in Orlando, Florida.

We’re proud to see our alumni taking their work to the festival circuit. Congratulations, Dylan and team!

𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐓𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐞𝐟𝐟 & 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝

Media Arts faculty members Tom Neff and Jerod Hollyfield are bringing their expertise to a major documentary project alongside renowned economist Dr. Arthur Laffer.

Professors Neff and Hollyfield are currently working with Dr. Laffer on a five-hour documentary series, tentatively titled "Tear Down This Wall." Dr. Laffer is best known for the Laffer Curve, the economic theory illustrating the relationship between tax rates and government revenue.

Production is scheduled to take place this fall, with post-production continuing through winter and spring 2027.

We’re proud to see our faculty putting their industry expertise to work on a project of this scale. Congratulations, Tom and Jerod!

We spent the summer investing in the future of Media Arts. 🎬

Studio-1 in Bragg 161 received a major overhaul, including a new reinforced superstructure that allows students to adjust audio, lighting and video equipment directly from the ground.

Our Mobile Production Lab is also getting a complete refresh, from a new exterior design by Professor Leslie Haines to major technology upgrades that will bring the lab to a 1080p 3G-SDI workflow with fiber optic I/O, preparing students to work with the same advanced broadcast technologies used by partners like Bonnaroo and ESPN.

We're ensuring our students have access to the technology, spaces and hands-on experience to step confidently into the media industry.

MT IMAGINE Animation Studio gives animation students the opportunity to work in a professional studio environment, creating high-quality animated content for real clients. From 2D and 3D animation to virtual reality and XR virtual production, students collaborate on projects that build their portfolios, strengthen their creative and technical skills, and prepare them for careers in the animation industry.

No matter your major, you'll find opportunities to apply what you learn in real-world settings before you earn your degree.

The MT IMAGINE Animation Studio is an organization within the Scott Borchetta College of Media and Entertainment at the Middle Tennessee State University. We provide services of animated media to the MTSU community and other organizations outside of the university.
