The Eta Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi was originally founded as Chi Alpha Pi Fraternity at Middle Tennessee State University on June 16, 1966, with the primary mission of becoming a chapter of Sigma Chi. The CAPS hard work paid off when they received their charter and were installed as the Eta Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi International Fraternity on April 5th, 1970. egacy of strength and leadership over 50 years strong in the Middle Tennessee Greek Community. As a chapter, we strive for involvement and excellence in all areas of campus - from philanthropy to academics to intramurals to social functions. Ultimately, we believe that what sets us apart from and above other fraternities is this - a brotherhood based in values so true and so strong as to create the very best in collegiate excellence, fraternal fun, and fast friendship.
