What an incredible week in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

This past week, two of our instructors and two of our students had the privilege of representing our school at the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI)!

WLTI is SkillsUSA’s premier national leadership and advocacy event, where students and advisors from across the country come together to develop the skills needed to lead, advocate, and represent Career and Technical Education (CTE) at the highest levels.

During their time in Washington, our delegation had the opportunity to:

🏛️ Meet with elected officials and advocate for CTE
🇺🇸 Tour national monuments, museums, and the White House
🎤 Participate in panel discussions with government officials
🌹 Take part in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery
🤝 Participate in team-building and delegation activities
🏅 Work toward earning national leadership certifications and the Statesman Award for leadership and civic engagement

It was an incredible opportunity for our students and instructors to learn, grow, build connections, and experience firsthand what it means to be a leader and advocate for Career and Technical Education.

We are incredibly proud of our delegation and all they accomplished during their adventure in Washington! Please enjoy some of their highlights from an unforgettable week! 🇺🇸✨

What a wonderful visit we had from the seniors of Antioch High School today! It was a pleasure to welcome these future industry professionals and give them a glimpse into the many career opportunities that TCAT offers.

They were sharp, confident, and eager to learn. We’re looking forward to seeing them return—not just as visitors, but as future students and, one day, future industry leaders!

Thank you, Antioch High School, for spending the day with us. We can’t wait to see where these talented students go next! 🎓👏

On September 23, 2026, our Machine Tool Technology students had the privilege of visiting HORN USA, Inc. in Franklin, Tennessee.

Located at 1870 General George Patton Dr., HORN USA manufactures precision carbide cutting tools for the machining industry. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the company, its manufacturing processes, and the important role precision tooling plays in modern machining. HORN also has a manufacturing facility in Germany.

We greatly appreciate HORN USA for welcoming our students, sharing their knowledge and expertise, and providing lunch for our group. Experiences like this give our students valuable insight into the machining industry and help connect classroom learning with real-world careers.

Thank you, HORN USA, Inc., for your hospitality and support of our students!
