It's October 7th and today is Psyc Good Deed Day! In celebration, we've had the following events:

1. MTSU Psychology Club & Psi Chi, in collaboration with our department's Social, Professional and Awards Committee (S**C), MTSU Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), MTSU School Psychology Organization (SPO) and MTSU Social Psychology Club, hosted a gratitude card-making activity and served hot chocolate for everyone.

2. For the second year in a row, Professor Sandra Jones and her students collected tissues for Alive Hospice's grief support programs, in support of individuals receiving bereavement services.

We like to thank all our students, faculty and staff who came out to support these events. Wishing you all a great !

Thanks MTSU Honors College for this feature on Trinity Johnson! Trinity is one of our outstanding undergraduate students, and she is this academic year's MTSU Psychology Club/ Psi Chi Vice President.

Meet Trinity Johnson, one of our MTSU Honors College Ambassadors! 💙

Trinity is a Psychology major with minors in Career Readiness, Leadership Studies and University Honors. Originally from West Fork, Arkansas, she chose the Honors College because she wanted a supportive academic community that would challenge her, connect her with meaningful opportunities and help her grow as a first-generation college student.
One of Trinity’s most meaningful Honors experiences has been getting to know Dr. June McCash through the In Process Series. She says their conversations were incredibly meaningful and reminded her how special the Honors community is.
Trinity is deeply involved across campus. She serves as president of Omicron Delta Kappa, vice president of Psi Chi, an SGA senator, Tennessee Board of Regents Ambassador, Green Bandana Peer Advocate and vice president of marketing for Gamma Beta Phi. She is also involved with CURVE and campus research.
After graduation, Trinity plans to attend graduate school and build a career in higher education focused on student success, college access, career development and supporting underserved students. Her long-term goal is to become a higher education leader, hopefully a dean one day.
Her advice to incoming Honors students? “Get involved early and don't be afraid to introduce yourself.” The Honors College has so many people and opportunities that can make MTSU feel smaller and more connected.
A few fun facts about Trinity: She is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and Registered Behavior Technician, her favorite study spot is the third floor of the ACB, and she prefers tea over coffee. She also enjoys Smosh Pit and Reading Reddit Stories.
