Free summer meals for kids are back! ☀️

MCS Feeding Sites begin Monday, June 1, offering free food for all children 18 and under. Please note: school-based locations will be closed June 29–July 3.

This year, we’re excited to partner with our Communications & Family Engagement team to bring even more to our community. MERV (Mobile Educational Resource Van) is joining CHOW (Combatting Hunger on Wheels) and CHEWY (Cultivating Healthy Eating with Youth) and will be out weekly, and all three mobile food vehicles will feature fun, themed activities for kids.

Come eat, learn, and have some fun with us this summer!

Congratulations to Kalisha Gaines and B.E. Academy!

We are proud to honor Kalisha Gaines as a 2026 Pink Diamond Award Honoree at our Just One Girl Scholarship Breakfast 💗

Kalisha is the Founder and Executive Director of Diamond Youth Development, a nonprofit dedicated to building confidence and leadership in girls ages 9–14. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she has called Middle Tennessee home for the past nine years.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Public Relations, Kalisha brings over 23 years of experience in the corporate events industry and holds the Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation. She currently serves as a freelance Senior Event Project Manager, partnering with major organizations including Delta Air Lines, IBM, and American Academy of Pediatrics.

Beyond her professional work, Kalisha is deeply committed to empowering the next generation. She is the creator of Diamond Youth Development’s flagship program, Step into Excellence, designed to equip young girls with the confidence and skills to lead.

A devoted wife of nearly 20 years and proud mother of two daughters, Kalisha is also a woman of faith and an active member of Believers Faith Fellowship.

We are honored to celebrate her community-based, grassroots impact and the powerful difference she is making in the lives of girls across Nashville. ✨
