Bird behaviors are always interesting. It's known that Northern Mockingbirds don't like hawks and this Red-tailed was no exception. Hawks are patient and the Mockingbirds kept his eye on the opportunity to physically assault the hawk repeatedly. Through it all, the hawk just sits still and only looks at his assailant. I think the lesson from this is patience and endurance.

I got a good look at this female Blackburnian Warbler yesterday. I'm particularly fond of the males, as they have vivid orange and black feathers. Migration is still in force.

Warbler season is always a favorite time of year for me. I seldom see a Palm Warbler, but this fellow spent a good amount of time in my backyard yesterday.
