The first photo made me take a second look to identify this bird. Why? It was the spotted breast. Once I saw more of the bird, I easily recognized a juvenile Northern Mockingbird. Young mockingbirds can become near adult in size and still have a spotted breast.

Heat lightening illuminates the night sky. This lightening that is from a thunderstorm miles away. A flash of light lasting a second or to. Typically too far away to hear the rumble.
