Rutherford Collegiate Prep RCP is Rutherford County's first, free, public K-8 charter school. Now accepting applications for Grades K-7 for the 2025-26 school year.

The mission of Rutherford Collegiate Prep (RCP) is to provide a personalized, engaged, supported, and challenging environment that will strengthen students academically, socially, and emotionally. Students will leave RCP with the skills and mindset necessary to not only face reality but create improvements for the next generation.

It was a special week at RCP as we welcomed our 2026–2027 kindergarten students for their first day of school! From smiles and new friendships to classroom fun and first-day photos, our little Bears jumped right into learning and made the day unforgettable.

🐻💙 Welcome, 2026–2027 Kindergarteners! 💙🐻

We had a wonderful first day with our newest RCP Bears! Our kindergarteners spent the day meeting their teachers, making new friends, exploring their classrooms, learning school routines, and beginning an exciting year of learning.

We are so proud of their bravery, enthusiasm, and big smiles as they started this important new adventure. Thank you to our families for trusting us with your little Bears. We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories!

🍦💙 What an AMAZING Ice Cream Social! 🐻🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all of our RCP families who joined us for our Ice Cream Social! We had an incredible turnout, and it was the perfect way to kick off an exciting school year together.

It was wonderful seeing our teachers and families getting to know one another, students laughing and playing, enjoying delicious ice cream, and showing off their fun face paint creations. The smiles, conversations, and excitement reminded us what makes the RCP family so special.

Thank you for spending part of your day with us and helping us create such a warm and welcoming start to the year. We can’t wait to make more memories together throughout the 2026–2027 school year!

Our teachers are getting ready for an incredible school year, and we’d love your help in making them feel appreciated from day one!

We’re collecting individually wrapped snacks and drinks to stock our teacher hospitality area. Whether it’s a case of water, sports drinks, soda, juice, chips, cookies, granola bars, crackers, or other grab-and-go treats, every donation helps keep our teachers energized as they prepare to give our students a world-class education.

📍 Donations may be dropped off at the front office during regular school hours.

Thank you for supporting the amazing educators who make Rutherford Collegiate Prep such a special place to learn and grow. Together, we can give our teachers the warm welcome they deserve!
