This is the effect of sin (sin is the transgression of the law):

Isaiah 3:12

“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”

Note: Children are more wicked and undisciplined and women now rule over the household. Most households are absent of Fathers due to generational curses. The government gives the woman more domestic and religious power than men in black communities. Women are even Pastors in churches because of sin. Everything is out of order. We have to fight to get back to God’s commandments! Men let’s stand in spiritual agreement and authority! To God be the glory and power. Amen!

Self-denial is essential to follow Christ.

To follow Christ, one’s motivations and behaviors must transition from being self-centered to Christ-centered. Scripture says we were bought at a price, and our life is no longer our own (1 Cor. 6:19-20). If something or someone is bought, its function or rights become subject to the one who purchased it.

It’s the same for disciples. Since our lives have been purchased through Christ’s sacrificial death, our functions and rights are now subject to Him. Our life does not belong to us—to do whatever we want to do. We must seek Him daily to learn and apply His instructions to our lives to know how to function appropriately in this world.

We can’t live any better than we know how to live.

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” -‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬, ‭KJV‬‬

“And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” -Matthew 10:38-39, KJV

If you find yourself angry at God, do not give up. Persevere. Continue to read Scripture and talk to Him even if it’s challenging to do.

When this happens, continuing to read His Word and pray to Him is difficult, but I force myself to do it anyway. The last time this happened, I ran across the same scripture that enlightened and blessed my soul in the past. Even though I was like hmph…yeah, yeahh, it reminded me that those “feelings” will pass if I just persevere while hoping I’ll gain more clarity over time.​​​​​​​​

I’m reminded of when Job’s wife told him to curse God and die because of all the terrible things that had come upon him. He responded with this: shall we only receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil/adversity (Job 2:10)?

So, when you find yourself angry at God, will you give up on the relationship, or will you persevere and fight for it?

I encourage us all to have a Job mentality: Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him (Job 13:15).
