Print & Journal: Gel Plate Printing + Mixed Media starts September 9!

Weeks 1–3: Gel Plate Printing- Explore a variety of patterns, textures, and colorful designs. Experiment with layers, stencils, mark-making, and mixed media techniques to create unique prints that can be used for collage and journaling.

Weeks 4–6: Handmade Journals & Collage-Explore handmade journals from start to finish. Create your own book while experimenting with collage techniques, layering, textures, and mixed media.

Build your drawing and painting skills in our series classes starting this fall!

FOUNDATIONS OF DRAWING SERIES 101, 102, 103
Fridays 1:30-3:30pm, September 25-November 20

Start with Foundations of Drawing series 101, where you will learn and practice skills such as scale, measuring, form, value, gestural and realism will be explored. Attendees will discover how small marks can make meaningful impact. Continue your Foundations of Drawing series with 102 in the winter and 103 in the spring as you expand your skills, and explore new techniques.

Build your watercolor skills through this progressive series designed for beginners and continuing students. Start with Watercolor series 101, where you will learn the foundations of watercolor techniques, materials, color mixing, create washes, blending and brushwork. Continue your watercolor series with Watercolor 102 in the winter and Watercolor 103 in the spring as you expand your skills, explore new techniques, and develop your own artistic style.

Advanced Hand Building Starts September 1!

Instructor: Rhonda Szymanski

This is an advanced class for experienced hand builders who are confident working on their own but enjoy the social aspect and structure of a weekly class. The instructor will serve as a facilitator, assisting and guiding individual students as needed. Includes 25lbs of clay, underglazes, dipping glazes, and regular kiln firing. Intermediate Hand Building or similar required.

Join us in Downtown Hammond for the Hammond Art Walk, a Third Thursday FREE experience featuring local artists, creative pop-ups, live demonstrations, downtown business stops, market vendors, food, music, and community connection. You can find us in the big hall called the Reserve where we'll be offering a mini art experience, "Slap Graffiti".

The Art Walk is part of Hammond Farmed & Forged and is designed to bring more foot traffic downtown, highlight regional creatives, and give residents a fun, walkable way to experience local art and small businesses.
