A Little Learning, A Little Cooking, and A Whole Lot of Fun!
Our 5th graders at James B. Eads Elementary School rolled up their sleeves for a delicious hands-on learning experience — making calzones!

Students learned about the ingredients that go into calzones and the nutritional benefits of different food groups. Then, it was time to get cooking!

Each student had the opportunity to add ingredients of their choice before our amazing Food Services staff baked their creations just in time for lunch.

What a fun way to combine nutrition education, creativity, and a delicious school lunch!
A special thank you to our Food Services team for making learning so tasty!

Eads Elementary had some special visitors this week! Members of the Munster Fire Department stopped by to talk with students about fire safety and share important tips for staying safe at home and at school.

And there was a special Eads connection! It was a homecoming for Firefighter Noah, an Eads graduate who returned to his former elementary school to help teach the next generation about fire safety.

Thank you to the Munster Fire Department for spending time with our students and for all you do to keep our community safe!
