Welcome Elena! 🖤🧡

Please join us in welcoming Elena Torongo to the LMAS team as our new School-Based Mental Health Specialist at Munising Middle & High School!

Elena is originally from the Chatham area and is returning home after spending time in Southwest Colorado, where she earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. She brings valuable experience working with youth ages 12–18, including supporting teens facing anxiety, depression, substance use, and behavioral challenges.

Elena is passionate about helping young people recognize their strengths, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. She is excited to connect with students, families, and school staff and to support the school community throughout the year.

When she's not working, Elena enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, and spending time outdoors with her family.

We are excited to have Elena on board and look forward to the positive impact she will make in our community. Welcome to LMAS, Elena!
