Carmel Catholic High School is recognized as an institution of academic excellence, providing students with the academic rigor, artistic exploration, and spiritual enrichment to prepare graduates for college, and beyond. Simply put, students choose to join the Corsair community, where they come to belong—to be known, to be supported, and to have the opportunity to contribute to their educational e

xperience through participation in a myriad of academic, athletic, artistic, and spiritual pursuits during their time at CCHS. For nearly six decades, Carmel graduates have offered their citizenship and service to the world. From the classroom to the boardroom, and from fields of athletic competition to those of scientific discovery, generations of CCHS students have left our halls with the ability to understand and contribute to the greater good of society. Now, with more than 16,000 alumni, the Corsair community is one of the largest and strongest of its kind, and we welcome your student to our family of future graduates. At Carmel Catholic High School, we believe in the unique potential of every student to achieve and contribute. In recognition of this belief, Carmel students are provided with the opportunity and resources required to excel. In support of our learners, we offer access to an academic resource center, five tiers of diversified course placements—including Honors, Advanced Placement and Dual Credit classes—and posses the ability to serve students with Individualized Education Plan or 504 Plan accommodations. We embrace our Catholic identity and the values of our founding sponsors, the Order of Carmelites (O.Carm.) and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM). The mission of Carmel Catholic High School is rooted in the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, and we welcome students of all faith backgrounds to explore their purpose and potential. Our campus ministry programs, school masses, and transformative retreats provide the framework necessary to accompany students on their personal journey. Carmel Catholic High School is recognized as an institution of academic excellence. As one of only six schools in the nation to have earned the U.S. Department of Education's prestigious Blue Ribbon award on five occasions, Carmel Catholic provides students with the academic rigor, artistic exploration, and spiritual enrichment to prepare graduates for college, and beyond. Our innovative programming guides and supports individual pursuits while challenging students to embrace all they can become, and in welcoming students from around the globe, Carmel Catholic seeks to encourage a culture of encounter. Extracurricular activities, fine arts programming, and athletic competition afford our students the opportunity to develop their talents, and through our core Catholic educational experience, students explore the impact that sharing their gifts can have on the world.

🎂 A birthday wish with real impact. When Mr. & Mrs. Dye planned their joint 50th birthday celebration, they asked for something more meaningful than gifts: food donations to St. Vincent de Paul at Santa Maria.

Their inspiration? Their son AJ, who showed up every Friday all summer for the Food Pantry Club. Watching him grow through service sparked a ripple effect that turned their party into a mission their whole community could join.

The result: nearly 250 food items and cash donations, all because one student's commitment inspired the people who love him most. 💛

🔥Igniting the Year: The Mass of the Holy Spirit 🔥
Our school community gathered in the Salvi Arena this morning for our first all-school liturgy of the year! This beautiful tradition dates back to 1548 and marks the spiritual beginning of our academic journey together.

We were blessed to welcome Fr. Conrad Espino from St. Joseph Parish as our celebrant. Fr. Conrad connected deeply with our students' youthful identity, challenging them to live "totally, absolutely unashamed of who you are" in the light of truth and the spirit of freedom—a message that beautifully mirrors our BVM core value of Freedom.

✨ Highlights from today's sacred celebration:
- Our littlest Corsairs from the adjoining Little Flower Preschool joined us for a special blessing, bringing smiles to our older students' faces.
- We established a meaningful new tradition by singing the Flos Carmeli ("Flower of Carmel") together for the first time, connecting us directly to our 13th-century Carmelite roots.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their reverent participation and thankful to everyone who helped our community remain anchored in Christ through the Eucharist.

Yesterday, new faculty and staff from Chicago's three Carmelite high schools—Mount Carmel High School, Carmel Catholic High School, and Joliet Catholic Academy—gathered at the Carmelite Spiritual Center in Darien, IL for a day of community, reflection, and onboarding.

After getting to know one another and exploring the hallmarks of Catholic education, they celebrated Mass with the Carmelite community. The homily delivered a powerful challenge: thoughts, prayers, and words must be coupled with action if they are to shape a better world.

The group then dove deep into their shared Carmelite tradition, spirituality, and charism, as well as the unique co-sponsoring religious orders of their individual campuses.

Carmel Catholic High School's new team members are now fully equipped for the awesome responsibility and privilege of keeping these traditions alive. They are ready to ensure the charisms of the Order of Carmelites and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary deeply permeate our entire school ecosystem, allowing us to model these virtues, through concrete action every day, for our students.
