While school might slow down for the summer, the spiritual heart of Carmel Catholic never stops! We are incredibly thrilled to celebrate two beautiful milestones within our Mission & Ministry team.
This past summer, two of our vital team members took formal lay vows to our founding orders in the St. Titus Brandsma Chapel, following months of deep study and spiritual formation:
✨ Donna Lane took her vows as a BVM Associate on May 30th. Donna’s deep-rooted connection to the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary began at Xavier High School for Girls in St. Louis. Her formative BVM education left such an impact that she later encouraged her family to attend Carmel Catholic so her grandchildren could experience that same legacy!
✨ Mike Poulos, a proud Carmel Catholic graduate from the Class of 1980, took his first vows as a Third Order Carmelite on July 12th. While we are lucky to claim Mike as an alumnus, his beautiful commitment extends to supporting and uplifting the Carmelite tradition and values across all Carmelite communities.
The charism, spirit, and influence of our founders remain a vibrant, living presence in our hallways, beautifully carried forward by dedicated leaders like Donna and Mike. Their steps remind us that a connection to these founding traditions is a living, relevant way to live out one's faith today.
Please join us in congratulating and thanking Donna and Mike for the profound faith and dedication they bring to our school community every single day!
