This month's Board of Education meeting featured a recognition for Meadows Family Dentistry, which reached out to the District to make a $5,000 donation that will go toward the purchase of a CNC Milling Collection for the forthcoming CTE/STEM lab at Fremont Middle School. We greatly appreciate the generosity of Mr. Balaji Singamsetti and Ms. Sharon Bogetz for supporting our students and our schools.

This year's theme is "Better Together, Building Together" and the FSD79 campus was abuzz with construction projects this summer as crews worked hard to get things ready for the start of the new school year. This summer's projects included:

• Enhanced secure entry vestibules at the elementary, intermediate, and middle schools
• An expansion of the middle school cafeteria and a lift for the stage
• Newly installed artificial turf on the elementary school playground
• A new exit onto Fremont Center Road south of the intermediate school
