What a great day at the Collaboration for Early Childhood Symposium! I led my workshop entitled "Wake Up to Reading," demonstrating how to turn reading a book into a full body experience for the children. Then, everyone was encouraged to choose a book and utilize various supplies to create their own activity. Imaginations were really flowing! It was wonderful!

Things can always be cleaned up later. Allow them to be who they are in the moment!

Thank you to The Goddard School in Buffalo Grove for having me come in and set up "Messy Fun in the Summer Sun" activities for their children (between 70 and 80)! Even though the weather wouldn't allow us to be outside, we brought the excitement inside!

Don't be afraid of the MESS! The smiles and laughter throughout the process outweigh any clean-up that needs to be done!! 😁😁

First, we learned about Controlling the Environment, Not the Child. Then, we had fun getting messy learning about Process Art vs. Product Art.
