A Bachelor's Degree prepares students for the working world or to continue their studies at a graduate level. A Teaching Certificate prepares students to get a licensure to teach middle/high school social studies. Students can also add a minor in sociology to complement a wide variety of majors (nursing, psychology, communication, etc.). Our Graduate Program offers a Master's Degree that provides advanced training in research and analytical skills that will prepare students for professional work or for future doctoral work in Sociology. Our faculty works hard to create a productive yet vibrant learning environment for students. They assume leadership roles on Ball State’s campus and in professional organizations, win awards and grants for their research, publish their results in respected academic journals, and maintain excellence in teaching while remaining available to their students
