Today we’re sharing some bittersweet news. After five years of working with TechWise, Ms. Mikayla is moving on to her next chapter.

We are incredibly grateful for the impact that she's had on students in East Central Indiana. Her contributions have helped shape who we are, and she will truly be missed.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited for what’s ahead and wish her nothing but success. Please join us in thanking Ms. Mikayla and the impact she's had on your kiddos!

Last week the class finished their semester by rescuing a rover that was in a crater or raising a satellite on Mars! Both classes added custom attachments to help complete their challenge! We are proud of them!

On Friday, the class continued to work on their space challenge! They rescued a rover from a crater on Mars and reestablished communications by raising a satellite!

The students finished the week with some Code Combat puzzles where they collected gems and snuck by ogres! They also worked through some CodeHS exercises with Karel!

K-2 students joined us in making a dancing robot to celebrate a successful ! They also participated in an unplugged dance party and created custom dancing Lego robots!

Yesterday was day 4 of the class! Students used CodeHS to dive deeper into functions and loops all while strengthening their debugging skills! They were even introduced to Ultra Karel!

Yesterday 3rd-5th graders built a Hill Climbing game on Microsoft's Makecode Arcade! They designed their hills and choose their characters! There were couches, cats, hamburgers, ducks, and more racing over the hills!

Day 3 of the class was last night! Students learned about the Syntax of writing For Loops, While Loops, and Conditionals in CodeHs! They worked diligently on solving puzzles and coding Karel!

Yesterday K-2nd grade students made a Maze game on Scratch Jr. They were broadcasting messages, designing their own mazes, and adding sound effects! We enjoyed seeing their creativity!

Day 2 of the class was yesterday! Students continued on with CodeHS and dove deeper into Functions. Karel the dog was coded to drop off pancakes and complete mazes!

The class took place yesterday! Students learned about the "3Cs" of AI! Additionally, they brainstormed ideas for a short story and then prompted AI to use their ideas to write and illustrate a story!
