Mandy began taking piano lessons at the age of 5, sparking a lifelong of music that would eventually lead to a career. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from California Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University, and a PhD in Music Education from the University of North Dakota. From 2006 to 2018, Mandy served as the choral director for the following schools and organizations:
- Gladstone High School (Gladstone, OR)
- Kraxberger Middle School (Gladstone, Oregon)
- Beaverton Christian Church (Beaverton, OR)
- Portland's Singing Christmas Tree Youth Choir (Portland, OR)
- Ferrucci Junior High (Puyallup, Washington)
- Kaiserslautern High School (Kaiserslautern, Germany)
Mandy currently serves as the Choral Music Education specialist at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Most recently, she has added Licensed Body Mapping Instructor to her list of educational skills. As a private instructor, Mandy has given piano and voice lessons for over fifteen years. She finds great joy in helping to foster a love of music in her students, and strives to help them find confidence and achievement in their musical endeavors.
