It is great to see more adaptive Halloween costume options becoming available at major retail stores!

The costumes pictured here are available from Target, but several other retailers are also offering some form of adaptive costumes for children this Halloween. Going the Do-It-Yourself route is always an option as well, and can lead to some unique and fun ideas!

During his upbringing in the rural community of Crawfordsville, Ind., James Nichols didn’t know many other people with disabilities. Despite this, he always set ambitious goals throughout high school. 🏫 🎓

Learn how Nichols worked hard to address inequities, including educating the advisors of his Southmont FFA Chapter about accessibility issues that might prevent him from using barns or contest sites. 🌾

The new Hot Wheels Braille car! It is called the Braille Racer Twin Mill, Experimotors 4/5. Born: 1969, El Segundo, California. Designer: Hot Wheels® - Ira Gilford

ID: The Braille Racer is solid white, with a grey racing stripe down the middle. Braille dots are on the side of the car and on the plastic packaging holding the car. The packaging has the logo of the National Federation of the Blind at the top and the Hot Wheels logo in yellow and red. Text says: "New for 2023" and Experimotors next to the clear plastic car holder on the packaging.
