Jeff is Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, and Manager at The National Bank of Indianapolis and brings 30 years of experience in the investment and trust industry. He also has deep Ball State roots, earning both his bachelor’s degree in marketing and MBA from Ball State University.

We’re grateful to have Jeff’s experience, perspective, and connection to Ball State helping guide and support the future of Miller College.

Ball State students are earning recognition on the world stage! 🌍

Two students traveled to Ireland to present their research at the Innovation Value Institute's annual competition, immersing themselves in an international academic and professional environment. Their work earned them the Innovation Collaboration Award, given to the team that best demonstrated innovative collaboration between industry and academia.

Beyond the recognition, the students say the relationships built throughout the trip were the most memorable part of the experience.

A Ball State alumnus helped two students travel to Ireland to present research, gain international experience, and earn recognition at a global innovation competition.

A little creativity can go a long way.

Miller College students are decorating lunch sacks with colorful designs and encouraging messages ahead of Ball State’s United Way Day of Action on Friday.

The sacks will be packed with lunches and distributed by a local nonprofit to people in need in our community.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Ball State’s Day of Action, which brings Cardinals together for service projects benefiting organizations and families throughout Delaware County.

We’re glad our students can play a small part in making someone’s day a little brighter.

Please join us in welcoming Charles Zhang to Miller College of Business! 🎉

Charles joins us as Director of the Weidner Center and Assistant Lecturer of Property Management. He brings five years of property management experience across residential and student housing, along with a background in construction management, where he supervised teams of water, electrical, and fire control system experts on new residential developments.

His research focuses on sustainable construction, bringing valuable real-world insight and forward-thinking expertise to our students and programs.

After a successful career in broadcast journalism — including a Regional Emmy Award — Lathay pivoted to launch JohnTom's Barbecue Sauce, inspired by his grandfather's secret recipe. He built the business from his hometown of Muncie, Indiana, before committing full-time in 2014. JohnTom's has since landed on shelves at numerous retailers and was named "Best Sauce in Indiana" by Indianapolis Monthly.

The Cardinal Job Fair is on September 16. Don’t wait until that morning to get ready.

A little preparation now can make the fair much easier to navigate:

→ Check the employer list in Handshake and identify the organizations you most want to meet.
→ Update your résumé and bring several copies.
→ Prepare a brief introduction about yourself, your major, and what you’re looking for.
→ Think of a few good questions to ask employers.
→ Choose your professional attire ahead of time.

Then show up ready to have some conversations. You don’t need to have your entire career figured out—you just need to be prepared to make the most of the opportunity.
