For many families, choosing a college is one of the most important decisions a young person will make.
At Miller College of Business, students find more than a place to earn a degree. They find caring faculty, meaningful opportunities, and a supportive community that helps them grow in confidence, character, and career readiness.
In this student testimonial, Brailee Millard shares what her experience at Miller College has meant to her — and why this is such a special place for students to learn, mature, and prepare for the future.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, alum, or friend of Ball State, we hope Brailee’s story reminds you of the lasting impact a strong college experience can have.

Congratulations to Professor Christiana Mann from the Department of Applied Business Studies for receiving a 2026 Immersive Learning Faculty Award!
In her Hospitality 101 class, "Cook with Purpose," students prepared meals for people experiencing food insecurity, working hand-in-hand with the Avondale Neighborhood Association, Common Market, Avondale United Methodist Church, the Food Hub (which contributed fresh produce), the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, Cardinal Kitchen, and the Guardian Scholars Program.
Through this project, they learned about service coordination, dietary needs, food safety protocols, and forecasting quantities. Amazing work!
