Thought I would share if anyone has old cassettes lying around. I had four bags donated by a night janitor! This is our final project of the year! Student learned about the history of cassette tapes and were introduced to the art of Geraldo Saenz out of San Antonio, Texas. He is on social media and creates ‘TAPEstry’ art. Students were given a lot of freedom on what they could create. There were several conversations about the influence of music in our lives, memories, and experimentation. We even listened to several of the cassettes that were donated. Full participation and engagement. A canvas is what you make it!

These students will be going to Camp Crosley next week so they aren’t able to finish their Hoots in Diguise drawing. I had to take picture because they were working so hard and created some amazing drawings.
