As we wind down Graduate Student Appreciation Week, I want to shout out my appreciation to the Grad School GAs - Anu and Henry! Make sure to show up to our Elm Street Mixer TONIGHT from 6-8pm to celebrate the amazing work you and your peers have done this semester. This event will be located at Elm Street’s secondary location (613 North Madison Street). Come grab some pizza with your fellow students!

A look into Dr. Courtney Jarret’s time in graduate school. Now a researcher who focuses on the intersections of feminism and disability as well as all things disability accommodations, Dr. Jarrett shares this picture in support of all graduate students here on campus.

Dr. Serena Salloum is the department chair of Educational Leadership as well as a professor of Educational Leadership at BSU! Graduating with her doctorate in 2011, she sat in very similar seats to many of you, our current graduate students. We appreciate the throwback picture as well as the students who make teaching possible!

For this grad student appreciation week throwback we have Dr. Katie Lawson! She graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2014 with her Ph.D and is now a professor of psychological science here on campus. Maybe one of you reading this now will be sending a Ph.D. graduation photo in as a throwback someday!

Another one! Emily Karas is the director of graduate student success here on campus and helps coordinate all of the amazing events offered to graduate students on campus. She became a mother during her time in graduate school here on BSU’s campus, pictured above!
