Cowan Bands

What an exciting week for the Cowan Band Program! Ava and Sky performed at State Solo & Ensemble today. Both did an amazing job! Ava came away with a gold and Sky earned a silver. I’m so proud of their hard work over these past months!

We also honored our 4 seniors at our last pep band game of the season this week. Thank you to Ava, Jacob, Kash, and Auren for their role in the band program over the last 7 years! Here’s to another successful season!

We’ve had so many exciting things happen in the Cowan Band program since we returned from winter break! First, we had a Pie the Principal fundraiser and raised over $200 for our program. Second, the Ridge family from Fishers, IN donated 2 practice pads, 2 music stands, 2 sets of drum sticks, a variety of mallets, and a MARIMBA!!! Their generosity is unmatched! We are so incredibly thankful! Finally, 5 students performed at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble today. All of them received a Gold rating and two of them are moving on to State!
Ayden: solo - GOLD, Brody: solo - GOLD, Lucas/Ayden/Brody: trio - GOLD, Sky: snare solo - GOLD, Sky: mallet solo - GOLD and going to state, Ava: solo - GOLD and going to state!

Congratulations to Layne, Jackson, Ava, Jacob, and Deagan on their performances in the All-Region/All-District Honor Bands! They put in extra work to learn 5-7 songs on their own and performed in an ensemble of over 100 students. Great job!

The band and choir students had a great time at Rose City Bowl last Friday!

I’m so proud of this group! I pushed them this year and put them in a higher group level and they crushed it! GOLD with Distinction + GOLD in sight reading. Excellent job!!!

The Cowan Band Program is currently running a fundraiser until the end of this month with Crew Carwash. The cost of the washes is normal but we get 50% of the profits! The washes are emailed to you as ewashes and they can be scanned on your phone or printed. They never expire and can be used at any Crew Carwash. Congratulations to Ava Gregory and Michael Marheine for their selection and participation in All-District Honor Band this weekend! They were part of an ensemble of over 100 students from East-Central Indiana. They learned 5 additional pieces and performed a wonderful concert! 🎵 🎶

We got GOLD!!! Congrats to HS Band for bringing home gold for both our prepared pieces and for sight-reading! I’m so proud of all of the hard work they’ve put in. They put together a great performance!
