MINNETRISTA MUSEUM EXHIBIT: The Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley exhibit was produced by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and The Emmett Till Interpretive Center. It will be on display at Minnetrista’s Museum and Gardens until April 12. The exhibition then heads to the SPLC Civil Rights Memorial Center in Montgomery, Alabama, from April 25 through Aug. 17.

“An exhibit like this demonstrates Minnetrista’s commitment to one, as a regional arts and cultural institution,” said JOHN Anderson.

You are invited to an upcoming event at Minnetrista called History Bites! This is a lecture series focusing on local history by local historians and community members that will be held every other month.

Our first lecture will be “The History and Cultural Wealth of Muncie’s Whitely Neighborhood” featuring Wilisha Scaife and Dr. Eva Zygmunt on February 12, from 6-8 pm at Minnetrista. They will share stories of the Whitely neighborhood's history and legacy and the importance of the cultural wealth it brings to Muncie.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the RESPECT: Resilience Training Initiative, a community-driven mental health empowerment program led by New Hope Family Life Center!

🧠✨ This trauma-informed and culturally responsive initiative is designed to support youth ages 6–24, their families, and youth-serving professionals through:
✅ Direct clinical services
✅ School-based supports
✅ Mentorship and professional development
✅ Community healing and empowerment opportunities

The RESPECT acronym represents our core pillars: Resilience, Empowerment, Support, Partnerships, Education, Community, and Transformation.
