Last week students in Mrs. Bergren’s and Ms. Miller’s first grade classes visited the MadJax maker space. We learned about being a life-long maker and then with help, made keychains using a 3d printer, laser cutter, and heat printer. It was awesome!

High ability students in Mrs. Bergren’s and Ms. Miller’s classes loved interviewing author Sarah Aronson today. It was fun learning about her profession and her book, Just Like Rube Goldberg. It was so much fun and we can’t wait to write our own books!

Students in Ms. Miller’s high ability first grade class distributed water bottles to students today. They even gave up recess to help! What a great group of servant leaders! Thank you to Classroom Connections for their generous donation too.

An important upcoming event for EWA high ability students and families is our annual open house. This year’s event is Friday, August 4 at 4-5 pm. Please plan to join us to meet your student’s teacher and receive information about the program.
Note: Students in the general education program will meet at 3-5 pm on the same day. If you have students in both programs, please feel free to attend the time that best meets your schedule.
New Kindergarten students and families: Join us at EWA for Kindergarten Roundup, July 27, 5-6:30 pm. New kindergarten students will receive a free t-shirt!
