‼️Looking for a half day, more flexible pre-k option for your child that doesn’t cut curriculum corners???‼️
When we started this program, our vision was to reach more children in the Muncie area who need pre k learning and exposure prior to heading to Kindergarten. Maybe these children stay home with a parent and other siblings currently. Or maybe they stay home with a grandparent while their parents work. Or maybe finances are a struggle and they want something more financially attainable and flexible. Regardless of the situation, we knew even if we had a child three hours per day, 4 days a week we could make a huge impact on their social, emotional, physical and academic development.
At KKids, we’re aware of the neurological pathways and synapses that are formed by the age of 5 years old and we want to play a part in ensuring a child has the best foundation possible. These years prior to 5 are SO important and we must make them count!
Screens, indoor, isolated play aren’t it!!! We need hands on learning. We need messy play and nature 🌳 , circle time and turn taking with peers! We need conflict resolution skills and self advocacy! We need climbing 🪜 , building and pushing and pulling so we can have the strength and fine motor skills necessary to hold our pencils✏️ and write! We need adult guidance to help facilitate problem solving without giving us all the answers! We need age appropriate responsibility and independence so we have confidence 💪🏼 and belief in ourselves! All of these things and ⭐️ MORE ⭐️ come together to form a well rounded child ready to take on school amongst same age peers, but it doesn’t happen on accident. It takes WORK! Committed, dedicated work by the family, the child and US!
